1969 Rickenbacker 381

This very rare Rickenbacker was one of the company's flagship models.   The catalogues of the era indicate that the 381 required a custom order.   It has a deep body, carved front and back, and checkered binding on both sides.   This particular example also sports a set of Van Ghent tuners, which were used off and on throughout the 1960s on their deluxe guitars- usually as a special request.   Oddly, it also sports a roller bridge.   The body is about 2.75-inches thick.
